20th January 2007 Windsurfing: Brog Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 25mph Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 9.5 Sea Temperature: Chilly, but not free Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered: This is the first time windsurfing since August last year. My neck injury seems to be nearly gone. My last session of \'06 was on a 4.2 in 30kts @ 30C in Fuerte. Today it was MUCH colder and I was considerably rustier.... I chose to sail early - knowing it would get colder through the day. The wind was quite variable, but not as cold as I expected. I got gybing OK and did a few fast tacks too. Didn\'t wanna get too carried away leaping high. Also my forearms were really weak, so I had to take an unscheduled break. But, the bacon and egg roll was good, as was the company in the clubhouse. Also since Tony now has a carbon-neutral woodburning stove, the gas is off and the temperature toasty. ====== ITS GOOD TO BE BACK ======= |
